Michael Jordan led the Bulls 3 consecutive championships from 1991 to 1993 and another 3 from 1996 to 1998 while Kobe Bryant steered the Lakers to a similar title reign from 2000 to 2002. However, while the two are both superb basketball players who have a number of accomplishments under their belts, they also differ in a lot of aspects. The most notable difference between the two athletes is their individual awards in the NBA. Jordan was named league Most Valuable Player for 5 seasons while Bryant was never given the award. Moreover, Jordan entered the NBA from college while Bryant came straight from high school. Despite their differences, two athletes are, without a doubt, two players whose names will forever be remembered in the world of basketball. However, more than just disturbing the flow of traffic and injuring themselves, drunk drivers most of the time also cause accidents that harm and sometimes even kill other people such as other drivers on the road or even bystanders simply walking along the road. People arrested for drunk driving are usually fined and imprisoned for a certain number of days and are then released. The problem with this type of penalty system is that a lot of drunk drivers never learn their lesson unless they cause serious damage, like accidentally claiming the life of another person. Considering the dangers that drunk driving poses to society in general, it is necessary to raise the punishment imposed on drunk drivers. The penalty should include years and not simply days of imprisonment as well as heavy fines similar to those imposed on more severe crimes like murder. This way, people would think twice before even considering driving while under the influence of alcohol. Classification Paragraph on Animals   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Animals can be classified according to the food they eat as herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. Herbivores are basically animals that who eat only plants, which are also their main source of energy. Examples of herbivores include cows, sheep, gazelles, antelopes, and goats, among others. On the other hand, carnivores are basically a group of animals that obtain their food from hunting, killing, and eating other animals, hence the name â€Å"meat-eaters.† Examples of carnivores include lions, leopards, wolves, cheetahs, tigers, snakes, panthers, jaguars, and bears, among others. Lastly, omnivores are animals that get their energy from eating either animals or plants. The best examples of omnivores are human beings since we both eat the meat of other animals and plants. In addition, animals such as pigs, raccoons, hedgehogs, badgers, gulls, and piranhas, are also classified as omnivores. Some animals are scavengers that will only eat dead matter while others will eat the eggs of other animals.

Isaac Thomas Rett Syndrome Rett syndrome is a progressive neurological disorder that affects almost exclusively in females. The most basic symptoms include decreased speech, cognitive disabilities, severe lack of muscle control, small head size, and unusual hand movements. A woman with a mutation in her MECP2 gene, has a 50% risk with any pregnancy to pass on her X chromosome with the mutation. It is not common for women with Rett syndrome to have children because the severity of the disorder. The mutated gene on the X chromosome that is responsible for causing Rett syndrome is the methyl CpG-binding protein 2, MECP2 gene. The gene makes a protein that controls other genes. When a mutation occurs in the MECP2, the protein it makes does not work properly. This is thought to counteract normal neuron, nerve cell development. The severity of the syndrome in females is related to the type of mutation in the MECP2 gene and the percentage of cells that carry a normal copy of the MECP2 gene. Rett syndrome is believed to affect all ethnic groups and nationalities with an equal frequency of about 1 case for every 10,000 to 15,000 live female births. Rett syndrome is an X-linked dominant gene. This means that the mutation responsible for Rett syndrome affects the gene located on the X chromosome. The twentieth century is an age of greed

They were. But the number of people consumed by this disease is many times more this century. Also the variety and intensity of greed is unparalled. We have many more opportunities to feed our greed on. See the amount of consumer goods available nowadays. How many of these goods can be genuinely said to benefit the user , or at the least satisfy him ? Precious few , I would think.All too often we read in the newspapers and consumer magazines about the underhand tactics used by giant corporations to sell their products. We hear about poisonous materials in foodstuffs. There are also innumerable amount of products that re shoddily made , yet passed off as up-to-standard products Then into this vast consumer market comes the pirates. These are people who make imitations. They have no scruples. So we are deluged with pirated tapes , records , books , clothes and other products. We even have pirated medicine.The misuse of public enterprise is rooted in nothing but greed. The greed for mon ey, for more and more profit, regardless of what happens or who suffers. Look at the advertisement section of any newspaper and you will see companies advertising for â€Å"aggressive† personnel. They must sell as much as they can, even if it is like forcing the product down the consumer's throat. The worsening drug situation in the world now is also a result of greed. Drug-trafficking and relatable offences are punishable, some even by death. Yet the drug trade is not bating.On the contrary, it is booming. Why is this so? Again we have people greedy enough to take risks in exchange for great returns. Their only aim is money. Drugs is one way of getting money, big money. So they go in it regardless the fact that drugs destroy people and society. They do not care who gets hurt as long as they get the money. They pretend not to see the evils of drug-addiction while their pockets are being lined with illgotten gains. Only when they get caught or are themselves addicted to drugs may they regret their greed. By then it may be too late.To see greed in action, all one has to do is to peep into a stock exchange or commodity trading centre. In smoke-filled rooms we can witness the behavior of people consumed by greed. Not all the traders are greedy, but there are some who sweat, haggle and shout themselves hoarse so as to reap as much profit as possible from the frantic buying and selling of invisible things. There are few people who purposely manipulate the market for their own ends. The smell of greed emanates from their bodies despite what they proclaim otherwise.In addition to the greed for money is also the greed for power. The more power a person has, the more power he seems to want. Considering the unceasing bickering, backstabbing, and fighting among leaders and politicians it is no wonder the modern world is in such a chaotic state. One leader holds on to power by getting rid of his enemies, whatever the means. His opponents plot and scheme to replace h im Coup-de-tats, uprisings, revolutions, assassinations and other political maneuvers are all aimed at the seizure for power. The one in power holds on tightly.In time he is dislodged by another or by his own mortality. Thus the procession goes on. Individuals come and go, but the greed of power remains to infect all who choose to follow its path. Electricity is produced by converting energy from one form to electricity. The process used may be a direct conversion process, where the energy source is converted directly to electricity. An example of this is solar photovoltaic cells, which converts the energy found in solar radiation directly to electricity. An indirect conversion process consists of converting energy from one form, to an intermediate form, to electricity. However, the number of water sources limits the development of hydroelectric power stations, which is why underwater tide turbines within the oceans may be another great alternative power source to harness power from the natural flow of water. That makes it easy to use them, no matter where you are.
